Team Santamaria Modified Baseball T’s off against CV

In this high energy slugfest there were tons of action from big hits, great defensive plays, to sand throwing and flower picking 🙂

HW Team Santamaria lead off the game against CV at the CV Peanut Field and put up three runs in the first. Dominic Santamaria got things started followed by Lucas Kimmel, Ahmad Gates, and Tanner Kessler who all had big hits in the first inning off the coaches pitch.

The slugfest continues down the lineup with Sydney Zon, Jackson Soltis, Audrey Wilt, and Lennox Bandish all making great hits.

There were some spectacular plays in the field by each player, some notable mentions were an amazing snag at first base by Dominic in the first on a hard hit ball to rob CV of a hit and capitalized on the put away getting the out at first. Ahmad Gates made an excellent grab and out at third. Lucas Kimmel, Tanner Kessler both competed in the field making force outs at third.

It’s early in the season and we do have a lot of work to sharpen those skills, but at this age the game is about teaching the basics and making sure the kids are enjoying the game.
