11-Year Olds Open North Hills Tournament With Impressive 14-2 Win over NCAA Blue
The impressive string of play continues for the Hopewell 11-year old All-Star team.
A week after winning the Hopewell tournament, the Vikings opened the North Hills tournament with a dominating 14-2 over NCAA 11U All-Stars.
Coach Dave Gigliotti’s team jumped out to a 10-1 lead and never looked back.
Only allowing 2 runs in an All-Star tournament meant that the pitching was obviously strong. In fact, the Hopewell pitchers only allowed 1 hit today.
Wade Enders started and went 1 inning, allowing 1 run and striking out one. Rilynn Davis went the next two and didn’t allow a hit, while striking out 4 batters. Elliott Mancos pitched the 4th and 5th innings, allowing 1 hit, 1 run and striking out one. Wes Gigliotti closed out the game with a 1-2-3 inning, striking out two.
Offensively, Gigliotti, Kruz Krotec and Connor Eiler each had two hits. RBIs for Hopewell were collected by Krotec (3), Enders (3), Mancos (2), Eiler (2), Davis (1), Henry Dunn (1) and Gigliotti (1).
Later today, the 11-year olds take on host North Hills.
