Section Opponents for Hopewell HS Boys Basketball for Next 2 Seasons

Today the Hopewell Boys Basketball team found out the teams that will make up their section for the next two seasons.

Section realignment is something that the WPIAL undertakes every two years and on Tuesday, the WPIAL board approved the updated alignments.

WPIAL basketball schedules and postseason dates will be released after the PIAA board meets on July 17th, when they will put together state playoff dates.

As far as Hopewell goes, here are their opponents in Class 4A, Section 2: Hopewell, Ambridge, Avonworth, Beaver, Central Valley and Quaker Valley.

Section 1: Burrell, Deer Lakes, Freeport, Highlands, Knoch, North Catholic and Valley

Section 3: Belle Vernon, Derry, East Allegheny, Elizabeth Forward, Greensburg Salem, West Mifflin and Yough.
