What a weekend for Drill 4 Skill/Team Biega!

After moving through the qualifying round by going 2-0 on Friday night, this team ran the gauntlet on Sunday in the highest classification of the Legendz Tournament in North Allegheny.

After getting through the first game, the semifinals and finals were both tremendous basketball games.

The semifinals pitted this group against a team from New York City. Stifling defense and aggressive play led to a double-digit victory and a place in the championship game against an undefeated team out of the Sharon Area.

Team Drill 4 Skill trailed by 12 points with 3 minutes remaining, but the boys rode a full court press and a wave of momentum to a four-point come from behind championship victory.

This was a team victory and all players contributed. Although James Armstrong and Brody Rock led the team in point, the defense of Avery Bokor, Jack Biega and Tre Cameron was the deciding factor.

Today was the second consecutive AAU Tournament win for Drill 4 Skill/Team Biega as last weekend, they won 17th Annual Adidas/Battle at the Burgh AAU basketball tournament in Monroeville.

This group of boys will finish their AAU careers and head into varsity summer league after next week’s shootout in North Allegheny.
