Recap of Hopewell Boys Basketball Win Over New Brighton
It’s better to win ugly than to lose pretty and that was the case for the Hopewell Vikings Boys Basketball team on Friday night at New Brighton.
It was one of those nights where they admittedly came out a bit flat as many of the regulars found themselves struggling.
However, the Vikings were able to hang around and eventually two of their top performers, Zach Kovell and James Armstrong got going and they got a huge contribution off the bench from Mike Brown, who sparked the team and game them the energy they needed.
In the end, Hopewell came away with a 67-60 win, which improved their overall record to 4-3.
Hopewell led after the 1st quarter, 15-13, trailed at halftime, 32-31 and the game was tied at 46 after three quarters.
