Congrats to Hopewell 3rd Grade Travel Team For Earning Their 1st Win

All the weeks of practice and hard work finally paid off for Hopewell’s 3rd-grade travel team!

The Vikings snagged their first win of the season, besting Moon in a 31-16 victory. Coaches Craig Biller and Andrew Honess have been working overtime to help improve the team’s skills. This was made evident tonight with a strong defensive presence, only allowing 4 points in the second half.

The offensive side couldn’t let the defense steal all of the glory. Cooper Biller came away with 8 points, followed by Sean Bain and Jordan Peck, each snagging 6 points. Breyson Hoth pulled in 4 points; while  Logan Giering, Landyn Delli Carpini, and Waylon Phillips all came away with 2 points. Jonah Honess added to the growing score by draining a foul shot late in the game. Kellen Boehm proved to be a force on defense as he shut down Moon on multiple attempts.

The 3rd-grade team hopes to come away with another win as they take on Beaver Falls next Tuesday at 6pm.
