WE’RE PRIMED – HW Youth Baseball gives HSN a glimpse into Spring Ball!!!
We’re Primed- the message from Hopewell Youth Baseball is clear after sitting down with Stacy Ritchart for a glimpse into what HYBBA has planned for this Spring!!!
This weekend was a big day for Hopewell Baseball. First our High School team took home two wins over the weekend. Then at our HYBBA youth complex, parent volunteers worked together Saturday and Sunday taking care of our fields and getting ready for that much anticipated opening day: April 26th.
I caught up with the Concessions Director, Stacy Ritchart, and some of her team to talk about the upcoming season.
Stacy anticipated great crowds again and had a stellar season in the food business last year. “We’re back up and running with a fantastic menu, great staff, and lots of Prime!,” said Ritchart.
There is no need to worry about grabbing a quick dinner before your games or practices as HYBBA concession stand is stocked with everything from loaded nachos, to hot dogs (chili and cheese too), to chicken tenders.
“PNC has nothing on us,” Ritchart stated. “Prices are affordable and the concession stand takes credit, debit, and apple pay. There are over 8 flavors of Prime in the coolers ready to go along with a limited supply of Dodgers, UFC 300, and Strawberry Banana. Come try it out! Not shocking, Prime was the top seller last season. Look out for an HSN poll where we will work with HSN to run a raffle poll on what Hopewell’s favorite flavor of Prime is and give away a bottle to a random viewer who likes and shares HSN on social media.”
You will also see some small improvements in the stand; a new freezer was purchased. This means more space to stock all those yummy funnel fries and mozzarella sticks. Thanks to Coach Mike Kurta who built a beautiful new counter for the register as well. Stacy stated, “we continue to grow and improve because of the team work and help.”
In addition to food, HYBBA Complex has some great improvements you will see this year. The organization continues to grow.
Coming this season will be a brand new batting cage with the help of the organization and the Sean Croner Fund. Parent volunteers also worked on a building a storage shed you will see behind the dugouts to help with tools and that much needed extra space. Field resurfacing is coming this month – HYBBA hopes this will help with all the rain and keep our fields safe and playable.
Stay tuned at HSN for up to date info on our amazing youth program. And look for announcements this summer during All-Star Play. Bruster’s will be featured as a tournament sponsor bringing out their smiling faces and delicious treats for those hot July days.
Another highlight this season will be on May 3. The youth program will feature our High School Seniors and recognize their hard work and efforts. Come out to the games that night under the lights and give these guys a well-deserved round of applause.
