Strong Effort From Hopewell 10U Gold in Close Battle With South Side
It was a true pitcher’s duel on Monday night as Hopewell 10U Gold went head-to-head with South Side in a low-scoring game that ended 2-0. While the bats were quiet for both teams, Hopewell showed off strong pitching, solid defense, and aggressive base running.
Cece M. set the tone in the circle, throwing three shutout innings while striking out four and allowing just one hit without a single walk. The defense backed her up with a flawless game—Hopewell didn’t commit an error, with Norah I. leading the way by handling four chances cleanly.
Norah also sparked the offense, going a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate. Emma E. added energy on the bases with two stolen bags, helping keep pressure on South Side throughout the game.
Even though the scoreboard didn’t fall in Hopewell’s favor, this team continues to prove its toughness and potential with every outing.
