6th Grade Lady Vikings Beat Beaver Falls, Advance in BC Youth Playoffs

Congratulations to Head Coach Rushel Shell and the Hopewell 6th Grade Girls Little Lady Vikings Basketball Team.

Tonight, they opened up the Beaver County Youth Basketball playoffs with a first round matchup against Beaver Falls at Penn State-Beaver.

After a slow start, the Lady Vikings pulled it together and came away with a 22-18 victory.

The game was tied 9-9 at halftime before Hopewell went on a 9-0 run to start the second half. Defense was key as the Vikings held the Tigers scoreless in the 3rd quarter.

Hopewell, which is the No. 4 seed, will next take on No. 1 seed Central Valley, this Saturday at 1:30 pm.
