HV’s Varsity Softball Shuts Out Riverside!

In the second scrimmage for the Hopewell Varsity Softball team they shut out Riverside 6-0.

A very strong pitching performance by Kara Barkovich who lead off the game on the mound. Kara Barkovich, Allison Ramaley and Alana Covalt threw three strike outs and only two walks to shut down the Riverside bats. The three pitchers combined for a 57% strike to pitch ratio.

Hopewell came out with a strong offensive outing putting up six runs with a huge fourth inning. Marina Pinchotti got the hit that drove in three runs giving the Vikings a commanding lead in the fourth.  Adding to the offense was Mikaela David, Victoria Mann, Alana Covalt, Allison Ramaley and Tallulah Showrank each with a hit in the game!

Hello Hopewell! While I am not originally a Hopewell native, it has been my home for over 12 years. My wife and I have three beautiful children that all play Hopewell sports including baseball and softball. My wife and I are both active in coaching our Children's teams. I am a member of the Hopewell Youth Baseball Board of Directors and you will probably see me out at the fields at least a few days a week. Most recently coaching my youngest sons TBALL team.
