πŸ₯ŽπŸ”₯ HOPEWELL 10U ALL-STARS ARE CHAMPIONSHIP BOUND πŸ’™πŸ’›

Three Wins. The Top Seed. And Now… One Game Under the Lights for a Championship.

NEW BRIGHTON β€” THIS FRIDAY NIGHT

Something special is happening with Hopewell softball.

The Hopewell All-Stars 10U have put together an impressive run through the All-Star tournament, going 3-0 in pool play, earning the top seed, and putting themselves in position to play for a championship.

Then the rain came.

Bracket play was washed out, changing the tournament format and creating an opportunity that might actually be even more exciting.

Instead of settling the championship by seeding, the tournament now comes down to one winner-take-all championship game Friday night at New Brighton, with the Hopewell girls expected to take the field under the lights.

And after watching what this team has done through three games, this is a game the Hopewell community should absolutely come out and support.

πŸ† 3-0 IN POOL PLAY

Hopewell opened the tournament with a dominant 12-1 victory, followed it with an explosive 15-2 win, and then came through with a hard-fought 4-3 victory over New Brighton.

That’s 31 runs scored in three games, including 28 hits, 30 RBI and 30 walks, while striking out only eight times.

But the numbers only tell part of the story.

What really jumps out is how many different girls have contributed at different times.

This isn’t an offense relying on one player.

It’s a lineup that can hurt you from top to bottom.

πŸ”₯ PLAYER-BY-PLAYER: HOW HOPEWELL GOT HERE

⭐ NORA COVALT #3 β€” SS

Nora Covalt has been a major catalyst at the top of the lineup.

Across the three victories, Covalt went 3-for-6 (.500) with 5 runs scored, 3 RBI and 4 walks.

She reached base repeatedly and consistently put pressure on opposing defenses. Her ability to get on base and score has been a major part of Hopewell’s offensive attack.

Three games. Three hits. Five runs. Four walks.

That’s a tremendous tournament from the leadoff spot.

πŸ’₯ NORAH IRWIN #25 β€” 3B

If there was one performance that immediately jumps off the box scores, it’s Norah Irwin’s 15-2 game.

Irwin went a perfect 3-for-3 with a double, 5 RBI and a run scored in that victory.

She also scored 3 runs in Hopewell’s opening 12-1 win.

Across the three games, Irwin finished 3-for-7 with 4 runs, 6 RBI and 3 walks.

Five RBI in one game at 10U is an enormous offensive performanceβ€”and Irwin has been one of the tournament’s biggest run producers.

πŸ”₯ KENDAL KAMINSKI #34

Kendal Kaminski has been one of Hopewell’s most consistent players at the plate and one of the team’s biggest on-base threats.

Kaminski went 3-for-3 across the three games while adding 3 runs, 1 RBI and 6 walks.

Her ability to repeatedly reach base has helped keep innings alive and put pressure on opposing defenses.

She also came through with a 2-for-2 performance with two runs scored and an RBI in Hopewell’s biggest pool-play winβ€”the 4-3 victory over New Brighton.

That’s the kind of production you want heading into a championship game.

🧀 GIULIANA PICCIRILLI #14 β€” C

Giuliana Piccirilli has been a major contributor both behind the plate and offensively.

She delivered a 2-for-2 performance with a run and an RBI in the 12-1 victory.

She followed that with another 2-for-2 game in the 4-3 victory over New Brighton, adding another run and RBI.

Piccirilli also scored twice in the 15-2 victory while drawing two walks.

Across the three games, she scored 5 runs, collected 4 hits, 2 RBI and 5 walks.

That’s production in every gameβ€”and especially impressive considering the demands of catching.

⚑ WILLOW KANTROWITZ #15

Willow Kantrowitz has been one of Hopewell’s steady contributors throughout the tournament.

She finished 3-for-7 across the three games with 2 runs, 2 RBI and 2 walks.

Her best offensive game came in the 15-2 victory, when she went 2-for-2 and scored twice.

She also delivered an RBI in both the 12-1 and 4-3 victories.

Three straight games of contributing at the plate is exactly the kind of consistency championship teams need.

πŸ₯Ž EMMA ENDERS #13 β€” P

Emma Enders has contributed both offensively and in the circle.

At the plate, Enders collected 2 runs, 2 RBI and 3 walks across the three victories.

But her pitching performance in the tournament opener deserves special attention.

In the 12-1 victory, Enders worked 3.0 innings, allowing just 4 hits and no runs, while striking out 5 and walking 3.

She helped set the tone for Hopewell’s tournament with a strong performance in the circle.

πŸ’ͺ GRACEY DUNNING #22

Gracey Dunning has been one of Hopewell’s most consistent hitters.

Dunning went 4-for-7 (.571) across the three games with 2 runs and 4 RBI.

She opened the tournament with a 2-for-3, 2-RBI performance in the 12-1 victory.

She followed that with another hit and 2 RBI in the 15-2 win before adding another hit in the 4-3 victory.

Four hits in three games and production every time Hopewell needed it.

πŸ’₯ KAMRYN ROY #18

Kamryn Roy has been a major run producer for Hopewell.

Roy finished the three games 3-for-6 (.500) with 6 RBI and 2 walks.

Her biggest offensive moments came in the first two victories, when she drove in 3 runs in the 12-1 win and another 3 runs in the 15-2 victory.

Six RBI in two games.

That’s exactly the kind of middle-of-the-lineup production that can change a game.

πŸ”₯ REAGAN MORRISSEY #12

Reagan Morrissey has consistently found ways to get on base and score.

She finished the three victories 2-for-5 with 3 runs and 2 walks.

Morrissey scored in the 12-1 victory and then scored twice in the 15-2 win, helping keep the offense moving.

Her ability to create opportunities from the middle portion of the lineup has been another important piece of Hopewell’s success.

⭐ MAY TAYLOR #10

May Taylor put together one of the tournament’s best individual offensive performances in the 15-2 victory.

Taylor went 2-for-2 with 2 runs and 2 RBI in that game.

Across the three victories, she finished 3-for-4 (.750) with 4 runs, 2 RBI and 3 walks.

That’s an outstanding combination of hitting, getting on base and scoring runs.

πŸ’™ BRENNA COVALT #20

Brenna Covalt has been another steady contributor throughout the tournament.

She finished 2-for-5 with 3 runs, 1 RBI and 2 walks.

She scored in the opening 12-1 victory, then went 1-for-1 with 2 runs, an RBI and a walk in the 15-2 win.

She added another hit in the 4-3 victory over New Brighton.

Another example of how Hopewell continues to get production throughout the lineup.

πŸ’™πŸ’› THIS IS A TEAM EFFORT

The Hopewell 10U All-Star roster includes:

Cece Mutkus β€’ Ellie Mae Mingrino β€’ Emma Enders β€’ Giuliana Piccirilli β€’ Gracey Dunning β€’ Kamryn Roy β€’ Kendal Kaminski β€’ May Taylor β€’ Nora Covalt β€’ Norah Irwin β€’ Reagan Morrissey β€’ Willow Kantrowitz β€’ Brenna Covalt β€’ Anne Krawczynski

The box scores highlight the individual performances from these three games, but the success belongs to the entire team.

Every player is part of the journey that has brought Hopewell to this point.

And perhaps the most impressive part?

The production is spread throughout the lineup.

You’ve got girls getting hits.

You’ve got girls drawing walks.

You’ve got girls driving in runs.

You’ve got girls scoring.

You’ve got girls making plays defensively.

You’ve got girls contributing in the circle.

And you’ve got a group that keeps playing together.

That’s what makes this team so exciting.

🌟 A TEAM THAT COULD BE SOMETHING SPECIAL

Someone close to this team described this group as:

β€œOne of the, if not the downright most awesome team I have ever been a part of.”

That says a lot.

Because at 10U, the most exciting part isn’t simply what the scoreboard says today.

It’s seeing a group of young athletes develop together, build confidence together and learn what can happen when everyone contributes toward the same goal.

And if these girls stick with it and stick together, Hopewell softball could have a very serious competitor on its hands for years to come.

That’s why Friday night matters.

It’s about giving them a moment.

A championship game.

A packed sideline.

Lights over the field.

Their families and community behind them.

And the opportunity to compete for a championship together.

πŸ™Œ A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO THE PEOPLE HELPING THESE GIRLS GET THERE

Championship runs don’t happen without support behind the scenes.

The Hopewell 10U All-Stars would like to give a huge THANK YOU to their sponsors for supporting these young athletes and helping make their All-Star experience possible:

πŸ“£ HOPEWELL β€” LET’S BLOW THIS GAME UP!

The rain may have changed the tournament.

But it didn’t change what these girls earned.

They went 3-0.

They took the top seed.

They’ve already put together three impressive performances.

Now they get one more.

πŸ† ONE GAME.

πŸ₯Ž ONE OPPONENT.

πŸŒ™ ONE NIGHT UNDER THE LIGHTS.

πŸ’™πŸ’› ONE CHANCE TO BRING A CHAMPIONSHIP HOME TO HOPEWELL.

So Hopewell, show up.

Bring the family.

Bring the signs.

Bring the blue and gold.

Bring the noise.

These girls have earned the spotlight.

Let’s make sure they know their community is behind them.
