🥎💥 Hopewell 10U White Stays Red Hot With Dominant Shutout Win 💥🥎

The bats were booming and the pitching was lights out Thursday night as Head Coach Kelsey Mutkus and Hopewell 10U White rolled to an impressive 12-0 victory over Riverside 10U Green – Huber at Independence Elementary School.

With the win, Hopewell currently sits at 2-1-1 in seeding play. In a unique early-season situation, the tie came during a seeding game that was postponed mid-game and will be continued and officially completed at a later date.

From the first inning, Hopewell brought energy, confidence, and sharp execution on both sides of the ball, setting the tone for another strong team performance. 🔥

Leading the offensive surge was Cece Mutkus, who delivered a huge day at the plate, driving in five runs on three hits. Cece came through in key moments throughout the game, blasting doubles in both the first and fourth innings while also adding an RBI single in the third. Her aggressive approach helped ignite the Hopewell offense early and kept pressure on Riverside throughout.

Hopewell struck first in the opening inning when Cece ripped a two-run double to give White an early lead. From there, the lineup kept applying pressure with disciplined at-bats and timely contact.

The third inning turned into another big rally as Hopewell plated five runs.
Nora Covalt stayed locked in with an RBI single as part of a perfect 3-for-3 night, also scoring three runs. Cece added another RBI hit, while Kennedy Pavlisko and Scarlett Phillips each chipped in RBI singles to extend the lead. ⚡

The fourth inning brought more offense as Hopewell added five additional runs.
Chloe Smith singled home a run, Kamryn Roy delivered an RBI double, and Brenna Covalt added another RBI single before Cece capped the frame with yet another two-run double.

Hopewell finished with 14 hits as nearly the entire lineup contributed:

🥎 Kamryn Roy — 2 hits, RBI
🥎 Brenna Covalt — 2 hits, 3 runs scored
🥎 Nora Covalt — 3 hits, RBI, 3 runs scored
🥎 Cece Mutkus — 3 hits, 5 RBI
🥎 Kennedy Pavlisko — 2 RBI’s-  single
🥎 Scarlett Phillips — RBI single
🥎 Maggie Barkovich — hit and run scored
🥎 Chloe Smith — RBI single, 2 runs scored
🥎 Avery Wilson — strong defensive play in center field
🥎 Marlee Barrett — competitive at-bats and steady defensive effort

In the circle, the pitching duo of Cece Mutkus and Kamryn Roy combined for a dominant shutout. Cece started the game with five strikeouts over two innings, while Kamryn followed with three strikeouts across two innings of relief. Together, they allowed just two hits while keeping Riverside off the scoreboard.

The performance highlighted the identity of this Hopewell squad—consistent hitting, confident pitching, aggressive baserunning, and strong support from every spot in the dugout and on the field.

Hopewell 10U White now turns its attention to a matchup with CV 10U Navy as they look to keep momentum rolling. 🔥
