Hopewell Vikings 7U Show Grit, Growth, and Big Bats in Back-to-Back Battles

The Hopewell Vikings 7U 2025 squad continued to show heart, hustle, and impressive development over the weekend in two hard-fought coach-pitch games that brought out the best in their young lineup.

Despite a walk-off 12-11 loss to CV 7U, the Hopewell offense exploded for 20 hits in a high-scoring thriller that showcased just how far this team has come. Leadoff hitter Hayes Singletary was flawless at the plate, going 4-for-4 and setting the tone with elite consistency. Mitchell Hodnicki delivered clutch at-bats, driving in four runs and providing energy in key moments.

From top to bottom, the Vikings’ bats were alive: Brady Daley., Blake Kosta., Dominic Santamaria., Ahmad Gates., Enzo Markowitz., and Levi Magnone. each tallied multiple hits. Blake’s triple, Enzo’s RBI single, and Hayes’ double in the second inning helped Hopewell build an early lead, showing how dangerous this group can be when they find their rhythm. The defensive side held strong for much of the game, and the boys battled all the way into the final inning before falling in dramatic walk-off fashion.

Later that day, the Vikings returned to the diamond against a tough North Hills 7U team. Again, the offense showed up, producing 12 hits in another strong outing. Hopewell briefly took the lead in the bottom of the second thanks to RBI singles from Mitchell Hodnicki., Kellen Haring., and Ahmad Gates. It was a glimpse of the team’s resilience and ability to answer back when challenged.

Levi Magnone., Hayes Singletary., and Mitchell Hodnicki. led the way at the plate, each notching two hits.

This weekend proved once again that Hopewell 7U is loaded with talent and improving with every outing. The bats are alive, the teamwork is growing, and the grit is undeniable. With this level of effort and togetherness, the future is bright for the young Vikings. Hopewell is back in action tomorrow at 10 am tomorrow in a rematch with North Hills.
