One day after defeating Avonworth, the Lady Vikings were back in action this afternoon as they traveled to take on Fort Cherry. Unlike yesterday where it was a back-and-forth game, Hopewell never trailed against Fort Cherry enroute to a 23-13 win.

Hopewell got off to a quick start by scoring the first 9 points of the game and eventually going into halftime with a 11-5 lead. It was a tremendous defensive effort with 4 blocked shots and coming up with 12 steals.

A day after scoring 9 points, Amiyah Shell once again paced the Vikings by scoring a game-high 11 points, which included two 3-pointers.

Hopewell was led downlow once again by Elianna McCoy as she collected 7 points and 7 rebounds. Other scorers for Hopewell were Arionna Shell with 3 points and Brooke Otto with 2 points.

The win today improved the Lady Vikings season record to 7-4.

Next up is a matchup at home on Thursday against Central Valley. If your schedule permits, come over to the Hopewell Junior High School and check this team out. The 7th grade game starts at 3:30 pm, with the 8th grade game getting underway at 4:30 PM.
