HASD just weeks away from Major Vote! Master Facility Planning Process!
Just released Today, Saturday 14th, 2024 a new updated on the Master Feasibility Facility Process! It no longer appears it’s a “feasibility study” regarding our townships school consolidation but only a matter of a few weeks before a final vote on consolidation occurs!!!
In an email from Dr. Beltz it was announced that over the next couple of meetings the final review of options in a public board meeting will happen on October 8th and the voting to select a consolidation option will happen by October 22nd!!!!
If you’re opinionated on this matter show up to the meetings, ask questions about the options being presented. Ask what transitional timelines will look like for our children’s education, ex: will they be studying in trailers for years while waiting for building construction? Will roads, lighting and sports fields be updated to adequately support a shift in children from one school to another? If you care now is the time to ask!

As the Hopewell Area SD continues to discuss the consolidation and reorganization of schools, I want to keep you informed of important dates as the School Board is preparing to formally vote on a district-wide school facility option at the October 22nd School Board meeting. School options will also be reviewed on October 8th.
To view final school options, please go to the district’s www.hopewellarea.org website and select the “2024 Facility Master Planning Process” menu link. Scroll to the bottom of that page to view final options and recommendations presented at the June 11, 2024 School Board meeting.
Upcoming Dates and Actions:
The public School Board Meeting on October 8, 2024, 7PM in the Hopewell Senior High School Auditorium. Dan Engen and Jackie Cowan from DRAW Collective will review school consolidation and facility options as well as recommendations once again. These options were presented at the public meeting on June 11, 2024.
The public School Board Meeting on October 22, 2024, 7PM in the Hopewell Senior High School Auditorium. HASD School Board will formally vote to select a district-wide school consolidation and planning option. Identifying a school option will then allow administrators to create a plan with a longitudinal timeline to accomplish the selected Board option.
