HW Varsity Softball Falls to Beaver Falls
The HW Varsity Softball team couldn’t seem to get anything going this afternoon. It started off a bright and sunny game and slowly as the clouds came in the outlook of the game became just as gloomy. HW fell to Beaver Falls 10-1.
Kara Barkovich took the to the mound to get HW started and was throwing well. However Beaver Falls came ready to hit and beat HW 10-1. Kara gave up seven hits and nine runs (six earned) over four innings, striking out nine and walking one.
Beaver Falls Area Senior High School got on the board in the first inning after C Legzdin homered to left field, scoring three runs.

Beaver Falls was lights out as Legzdin started the game for Beaver Falls Area Senior High School. She surrendered one hit and one run (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out 13 and walking three.
The sole hit for HW was on a hit by Allison Ramaley and that’s all the offense that HW could produce.
Beaver Falls Area Senior High School tallied 10 hits in the game. Legzdin drove the middle of the lineup, leading Beaver Falls Area Senior High School with eight runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 4-for-4 on the day. M MacAuthur and Z Reddick each collected multiple hits for Beaver Falls Area Senior High School.
