Great First Day For Hopewell Swim Team at WPIAL Championships
The Hopewell Vikings had a fantastic first day at the WPIAL Swim Championships.
The Girls 200 Medley Relay of Ava Yoder, Hazel McCowin, Lindsey Brown and Jordyn Glumac, The Boys Medley relay of Troy Palochak, Connor Progar, Charlie Houston and Joey Gregory, and the Boys 200 Free Relay of Connor Progar, Aiden Trunick, Emmet McCowin, and Joey Gregory all posted best times.
The Girls 200 Free relay of Ava Yoder, Aleena Gray, Emma Driscoll, and Jordyn Glumac all posted best splits!
Highlight of the meet Freshman Hazel McCowin medaled (5th Place) and broke the Hopewell School record in her 200 IM with a time of 2:13:20! This was her best time of the season.
Lindsey Brown had her best 50 free this season along with Hazel McCowin (200 IM) and Connor Progar (50 Free). The Girls and Boys 200 Medleys and the Boys 200 Free Relays all posted best times.
