Tremendous Performance By The Hopewell 5th Grade Travel Basketball Team!

Published

on

The future of the Hopewell Girls Basketball program certainly looks bright as the pipeline is filled with plenty of talent.

Coach Homziak’s high school team, which qualified for the playoffs and will take on Greensburg Salem tonight, has only one senior on the roster. Coach Sundy and the Hopewell Junior High program had a tremendous season and some of those 8th graders will no doubt contribute next season at the high school level.

The talent doesn’t stop there as the Hopewell Youth Lady Dribblers programs are having a solid 2024 season and one of their teams had an outstanding performance last night.

The 5th Grade travel team were clicking on all cylinders Monday night as they defeated Freedom, 50-7.

After falling behind 2-0, the Lady Vikings went on a 22-0 run and went to halftime leading by the score of 30-4. In the first quarter, Hopewell shot 11 of 17 from the field, which is outstanding.
