Hopewell Girls Volleyball One Win Away From Playoffs Following Win Over New Brighton!!

After a huge win last Thursday against Central Valley, the Hopewell Vikings looked for another big win Monday night. The girls played New Brighton in a must win game, which was also Senior Night, and the Vikings did what they needed to do. The girls won in 4 sets tonight, and now have to win one more game to clinch a playoff spot. Tonight’s top performers were, senior captain D/S Emma Ford, senior captain setter Haley Hineman, senior libero Jayden Martinez, senior D/S Kendall Hineman, and junior OH Jordan Sirianni.

Set 1 25-12 Hopewell Wins

• Haley Hineman passes to Jayden Martinez who sets up Jordan Sirianni for the kill 2-1 Vikings
• A kill for Gia Merendo, 3-1 Vikings
• Haley, to Jayden, to Jordan yet again for another point, 4-2 Vikings
• Jordan with an ace 8-3 Hopewell
• Haley sets up Abbey Andrews for the kill, 14-7 Vikings
• Gia passes to Haley who sets Gia right back up for the kill 19-10 Vikings
• Haley with a great dig, passes to Jayden who sets up Josie Ziegler for the kill, 22-11 Vikings

Set 2 25-18 New Brighton Wins

• Kill for Jordan, 3-1 Lions
• Another kill for Jordan 8-3 Lions
• Jayden with an ace 8-4 Lions
• Jordan passes to Haley who sets up Alyssa Spang for the kill 12-6, New Brighton
• Jayden passes to Haley which sets up a kill for Josie, 14-8 Lions
• Kendall with a nice dig, passes to Haley who sets up Jordan for a sneaky tip 17-12 Lions
