Big Time Talent Coming To Tony Dorsett Stadium Tonight
The Hopewell Vikings varsity football team will be back in action tonight as they’ll host the Seton LaSalle Rebels at Tony Dorsett Stadium.
The Vikings enter tonight with a record of 1-3, while Seton-LaSalle, a surprise team to this point, comes with an impressive record of 3-1. After losing their opener to Cornell (20-19), Seton-LaSalle is on a 3-game winning streak, included in that was an eye-opening 2 OT win over Steel Valley (23-20).
Hopewell will be looking to end a 2-game losing streak and fortunately for them, they’ll be a bit healthier than they were a week ago. Last week against Avonworth, the Vikings were without 15 players, due to injuries or illness. In fact, the offensive line only had two of their original starters.
Hopewell isn’t a deep team to begin with so to be without that many players, made the task of taking on a very talented Avonworth team much more difficult. Not an excuse, just a fact.
Tonight’s matchup against Seton LaSalle should be an interesting one. Two players to keep an eye on for the Rebels will be senior running back O’Malley Daly and freshman athlete Khalil Taylor.

The real interesting one of those two is Taylor, who’s a really talented player.
How talented?
Despite being only a freshman, the 6’0″, 180-pound athlete has already received 3 D-1 offers, including one from Pat Narduzzi and the Pitt Panthers. Taylor received that offer last Thursday. His first two were from Akron and UNLV.

If you’re heading to the game tonight, you’ll have the opportunity to see a potential, future Power Five athlete.
