πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ’™πŸ’› VIKINGS TURN IN STRONG PERFORMANCES AGAINST SOUTH SIDE πŸ’›πŸ’™πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

The miles are adding up, and so is the progress for the Hopewell Vikings Cross Country team!

Hopewell faced South Side with runners from both the Varsity and Junior High programs taking to the course. The day included several impressive finishes, including first-place performances at both the Varsity and Junior High levels, a Junior High runner-up finish, and a freshman continuing to make an impact.

BOYS VARSITY

On the Boys Varsity side, Luca Flitcraft set the pace for Hopewell, capturing 1st place overall with a time of 19:22.

Freshman Ryder Kostrick continued his strong start at the Varsity level. He was the second Viking to finish and claimed 5th place overall in 21:46. Hopewell then saw three more runners finish close together, as Carter Weber, Enzo Leopardi and Grant Olson crossed in 8th, 9th and 10th place, respectively.

GIRLS VARSITY

For the Girls Varsity team, Skylar Elias was the first Lady Viking across the line, completing the course in 25:38.

Gabrielle Romeo followed as Hopewell’s second Lady Viking and Varsity finisher with a time of 30:01.

JUNIOR HIGH BOYS

The Junior High Boys were led by an excellent race from Tyler Dushac, who earned 2nd place overall with a time of 11:16.

Declan Lavia followed as Hopewell’s second finisher, while Jack Holsinger was the third Viking to complete the course.

JUNIOR HIGH GIRLS

πŸ₯‡ Gemma Marx turned in an outstanding performance for the Junior High Lady Vikings, racing to a 1st-place overall finish and leading Hopewell across the finish line!

Madison Morgan was the second Hopewell Junior High girl to finish, followed by Madison Santamaria as the third Lady Viking across the line.

πŸ’™πŸ’› PROGRESS THROUGHOUT THE PROGRAM πŸ’›πŸ’™

While finishing places and times tell part of the story, they don’t tell all of it.

The continued effort and progress across the entire team is something worth celebrating. Each race gives these athletes another opportunity to test themselves, work toward faster times, build confidence and see the results of the miles they are putting in at practice.

From Junior High through Varsity, the Vikings continue to grow as runners while supporting one another along the way. Cross country is as much about competing against your own previous performance as it is about competing against the runners beside youβ€”and this group continues to make strides.

Congratulations to ALL of our Viking runners on another strong day on the course! Keep putting in the work and making every mile count! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’™πŸ’›

Hello Hopewell! While I am not originally a Hopewell native, it has been my home for over 12 years. My wife and I have three beautiful children that all play Hopewell sports including baseball and softball. My wife and I are both active in coaching our Children's teams. I am a member of the Hopewell Youth Baseball Board of Directors and you will probably see me out at the fields at least a few days a week. Most recently coaching my youngest sons TBALL team.
