Hopewell Girls Volleyball Picks Up 9th Win of the Season! Preview Of Tomorrow’s Pink Out Event.

The Hopewell High School girls’ volleyball team continued their outstanding 2024 season last night!

The Lady Vikings hosted Northgate and came away with an easy 3-set sweep (25-7, 25-7 and 25-12).

With that result, the No. 2 ranked Vikings improve their overall record to 9-1 and 7-1 in Section 1 (Class 2A). Hopewell is still looking to catch Quaker Valley (7-0) for first place.

Hopewell has 6 remaining matches, with the next one coming tomorrow against a very talented Avonworth team. If you haven’t seen this Hopewell team in action yet, tomorrow night would be a good time to stop over to the high school to check them out.

HOPEWELL’S REMAINING SCHEDULE:
Tomorrow: vs. Avonworth (at Hopewell High School), JV match begins at 6 PM.

Tuesday, October 8th: at New Brighton

Thursday, October 10th: vs. Freedom (at Hopewell High School)

Tuesday, October 15th: vs. Aliquippa (at Hopewell High School)

Thursday, October 17th: at OLSH

Last week, Hopewell was scheduled to take on first place Quaker Valley but due to some confusion with scheduling, that match was postponed. As of this morning, the exact date of the rescheduled match hasn’t been announced.

A reminder that tomorrow night is the Girls Volleyball Pink Out Event. The program is looking to raise funds to support Hair Peace Charities, a charity that is near and dear to Hopewell head coach Terry Borkovic and his wife Michele, who is a Breast Cancer Survivor.

Tomorrow night during their match against Avonworth, come cheer on the team and also help contribute to this outstanding cause. Admission is free; however, we kindly ask that you make a donation at the Admission Table for this Pink Out Event. Cash and Venmo will be accepted.

Also, there will be over 21 baskets and items to raffle off, a 50/50 and food will be available for sale.

ALL MONEY COLLECTED WILL BE DONATED TO HAIR PEACE CHARITIES!! 

Tomorrow is also SENIOR NIGHT for the High School Girls soccer team as they host Carlynton at 7:30 PM. Make a night of it at Hopewell High School as you can come cheer on and support both the Girls Volleyball and Soccer programs!
