Preview of Huge Match Tonight for Hopewell Boys Soccer Team
It’s too early to declare it a must win but the Hopewell Boys soccer team have a very important match tonight.
Coach Nathan Richter’s team will travel to take on Beaver with both teams battling for the 4th and final spot.
Here are the updated standings heading into tonight’s match. As I mentioned, the first four teams in the section qualify for the playoffs.

Quaker Valley 9-1-1
Avonworth 9-1-1
Central Valley 9-2
Beaver 6-4-1
Hopewell 5-4
The Vikings are coming off an impressive 2-0 shutout of Central Valley and will look to keep that momentum tonight.
Earlier this season, Beaver came away with a 2-1 win at Hopewell so it’s important to try and split the season series or Beaver will have an important edge in a head-to-head tie-breaker.
With a win tonight, Hopewell would jump into the 4th place spot.
After tonight’s match, Beaver will take on Central Valley while Hopewell travels to 1st place Avonworth. That makes tonight’s match even more important.
