Hopewell Rec Softball Hit-a-thon
As a follow up to an earlier announcement during the Hopewell Girls Youth Softball registration this Fall, the HGSL stepped up and made a huge decision to offer Fall Ball this year at a major discount to families. To do this, they cut their fall fundraiser and did not charge families for uniforms.
Therefore, in place of the mandatory fundraiser they typically do every season they decided to offer a fun voluntary fundraiser this fall. (This is where you as our Hopewell Community come in).
The Hopewell Girls Youth Softball League will be hosting a Hit-A-Thon to help the league cover Fall expenses and take the place of the money typically raised during the mandatory Fall fundraiser. This should be something new for families and a way for the players and families to come out to the fields and have fun!
Players will ask for sponsors and donations for their Hit-A-Thon. All money raised will go directly to Hopewell Girls Youth Softball Program. During this event which will be held Sunday, October 13th at Independence Elementary Softball Fields, there will be food trucks and lots of fun to be had! Pittsburgher’s Food Truck will be there to feed the crowd so bring your appetite.Â
The league will also be selling shirts for the event as a fundraiser as well! A new and exciting fall fundraiser for Hopewell Youth Softball! Come join the fun at Independence Softball fields!
The league is also accepting straight donations if you do not know a player in the league but would like support the organization.
Much more to come on this fun fundraiser event, possibly even some additional competitions within the Hit-A-Thon like a Home Run Derby, and even something for the parents/coaches to participate in, time to show off those skills Moms and Dads! Could those player participants have a chance to “Dunk” on the coaches????????
Letters will be sent home through the school, during practices and games with more information on how to sign up, participate, etc.
