Unfortunate Serious Injury for Hopewell Vikings Quarterback Kingston Krotec
Hopewell Township– Football is no doubt a violent and physical game and because of that, injuries occur.
Unfortunately, a member of the Hopewell Vikings 2024 football team has sustained a serious one.
This afternoon at practice, Vikings junior quarterback Kingston Krotec was injured in a simple tackling drill and sustained a broken ankle.
We’re not going to speculate on the timeline for Krotec to return.
“It was a tragic accident, but I will be on the sideline to help and be ready to come back if I can,” Krotec tells HSN.
Krotec has been the starting quarterback at Hopewell since his freshmen season and was going to be a prominent player on this year’s team at a variety of positions, such as quarterback, wide receiver and likely the starting safety on defense.
Kingston is a team player, and will no doubt do what he can to assist freshman quarterback James Armstrong, along with being a leader and asset for the Hopewell coaching staff on the sidelines and in practice.
Hopewell Sports Nation wants to send well wishes to Kingston and our thoughts and prayers are with you in your recovery. This is no doubt just a minor obstacle for him and after rehab, he’ll return to the athletic field better than ever. Aside from being a talented football player, Krotec is a standout on the Hopewell Vikings baseball team.
Vikings Nation keep King in your thoughts and leave a message here for him on Facebook or Twitter.
