HW Rec Softball Grant Awarded!
The struggles today financially for many are real and most can relate to the rising costs for regular necessities like groceries, fuel, utilities, let alone sporting equipment.
The Hopewell Rec Softball League was awarded a grant for softball equipment and is looking for families that can benefit from an amazing gift.
The details around the organization that awarded the grant and how to apply for the grant are below in a message from the league.
Hello softball families:
Earlier this season, we received an equipment grant from Pitch In For Baseball & Softball (PIFBS), a non-profit organization that provides new and gently used baseball and softball equipment to boys and girls in the United States and around the world who want to play ball but lack the equipment to do so.
We were awarded:
– a set of catcher’s gear
– catcher’s glove
– five bats, ranging in size from 29 to 33 inches (some composite, some not).
We are asking for families in need of these items to submit a request form for any of the items listed above. Some personal information is required to help direct the equipment to those most in need. Any such personal information provided to us will be treated as confidential and will not be shared beyond those who will be determining the allocation of equipment. And, full disclosure: PIFBS is requiring us to submit at least one “impact report” to them, which would detail the softball journey of a recipient from the equipment grant and what receiving it means to them. The deadline for applying is midnight on Tuesday, July 16th.
