Hopewell Jr. High Softball Finishes Season with Win Over Central Valley

A goal of any team is to finish the season strong which is something the Hopewell Junior High Softball was able to accomplish.

The Vikings finished the season winning 2 of their last 3 and were certainly playing their best ball at the end of the season.

That strong play included a season-ending 17-11 win over Central Valley.

In yesterday’s win, the Vikings pounded out 17 hits. Lillian Otto, Madeline Earley and Bella Cipolla led the way with 3 hits apiece, while Abby Babinsack and Lily Enders both had two hits.  For the season, Otto and Enders both finished the season batting .500, while Cipolla finished with an average of .462.

Congrats to Gianna Rossi and Maddison Pontis who both had 3 RBIs. One other offensive statistic as Otto collected 5 stolen bases.

Abby Babinsack picked up the win for Hopewell, who finished the season with a record of 4-8.
