HW 8U Rec Softball Kickoff Season against Ambridge

Hopewell 8u Gold Team Pavlisko opened up their season last night against Ambridge.

The 8U team got a great start to their season with a 7-3 win over Ambridge on the Independence Elementary School

Ambridge 8U – Garnet was the first to get on the board in the first when Makenna D singled, scoring one run.

HW’s Independence Pavlisko took the lead, 5-1, in the bottom of the third thanks to singles by Kennedy Pavlisko, Willow Kantrowitz, Lucy Olson, Ann Krawczynski, and Norah Irwin.

Ambridge 8U – Garnet tallied 19 hits in the game but still came up short in runs.

Inara B and Madison C each collected four hits for Ambridge 8U – Garnet. Myra B and Makenna each drove in one run for Ambridge 8U – Garnet. Vera B and Elaina H each collected multiple hits for Ambridge 8U – Garnet. Ambridge 8U – Garnet turned one double play in the game. Ambridge 8U – Garnet didn’t commit a single error in the field. Madison had the most chances in the field with five.

Hopewell 8U Gold – Pavlisko amassed 19 hits in the game. Cece Mutkus, Ann Krawczynski, and Norah Irwin each collected three hits for Team Pavlisko. Ann Krawczynski and Norah Irwin were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs.

Aurora Singletary, Scarlett Phillips, Lucy Olson, and Willow Kantrowitz each collected multiple hits for Team Pavlisko.
