HW Varsity Softball heading to the Ripken Experience in Tennessee
The Hopewell Varsity Softball team hosted their Annual Wing Bash this weekend, the event was a big success in large part due to all of the local sponsors and of course the residence of Hopewell for showing up to support the team!!!
The HW Varsity Softball team is dedicated to its off season training and preparing now for the upcoming 2024 Season. Under the leadership of its coaching staff lead by head coach Ronda Koblek.
The team is raising money for its Spring Break trip to Tennessee to compete all week in 6 games against teams from all over the country. Students, coaches and families have dedicated their vacation time to the development of this team and will take a trip to the Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge during Spring Break.
This weekend’s Wing Bash was the primary source of funding for making the trip possible offsetting costs for bus rentals, hotels and other expenses. The Coaches, players, and boosters wanted to express their gratitude to all of its sponsors from the event. The food was delicious, offering all the wings you can eat. Tremendous donations from Sponsors made this evening possible with dozens of prizes including but not limited to: Over a dozen gift cards, Bruster’s Norm Ely for awesome prizes and so many more listed below. Some huge prizes were raffled off including, authentic Connor Heyward signed jersey, Box seat Buccos tickets, Mountaineer gaming and resort packages and brand new outdoor Wood Pellet Grill.
