Hopewell HS Senior Swimmers Recognized Last Night
Last night was Senior Night as the Hopewell High School swim team hosted Beaver Falls.
Senior Night is always a special yet bittersweet time as these athletes are recognized for their time and work done in the program. However, it’s a reminder that it’s the final time that these athletes will compete in the program.
Coach Lopez and the Hopewell coaches have a great group of young men and women. The program was thrilled to walk with them, recognize them, celebrate them, and watch them have their moment last night.
The seniors surprised everyone by singing the national anthem as a group.
The Hopewell program wants to thank all the swim boosters and parents who did so much work to make Thursday a special night.
In the water, the following swimmers all posted best times: Emma Driscoll (50 Back), Troy Palochak (50 Back, 100 Fly), Joshua Ryan (200 IM), Emmet McCowin (50 Free), Hazel McCowin (100 Fly), Nate McGee (100 Free), Aiden Trunick (500 Free), Joey McCullough (500 Free), Evelynn McCullough (100 Back), Mia Blakesley (100 Breast), Savannah Meyers (100 Free), and Joel Olshanski (100 Free).
The season isn’t over with as Hopewell will compete tomorrow in the MAC Championships.
