Huge Game For the Hopewell HS Girls Basketball Team, They Need Your Support
No matter the sport, when a team is involved in a big game, they want to play that game at home because of the environment and support they receive from playing at home.
Well, the Hopewell HS Girls Basketball team has a huge game tomorrow night at home and could use support from the Hopewell community.
Coach Jeff Homziak and his team will host Beaver with 2nd place in the section on the line. Both teams enter the game with a record of 3-2 in the section. Aside from second place, a win would give Hopewell some breathing room as they fight to secure a playoff spot.
The Lady Vikings have battled adversity all season, including a small roster which doesn’t allow them to play junior varsity games, along with in-season injuries that have further challenged their depth.
Despite all this, they have battled hard all season, have an overall record of 7-6 and can qualify for the WPIAL with a few more wins.
Obviously we can’t force anyone to go to a game but if your schedule permits, the Hopewell girls program would appreciate your support tomorrow night against Beaver.
Tip-off is at 6:30 pm from Hopewell High School. Hopewell Sports Nation will be there and we hope to see you.
