Great Results From Hopewell’s Latest Swim Meet Against Blackhawk
It was a great day for the Hopewell High School swim team in their meet on Thursday against Blackhawk.
Several swimmers turned in tremendous individual performances and the meet was highlighted by five swimmers qualifying for the WPIAL’s.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE BLACKHAWK MEET:
*Boys 200 Medley of Troy Palochak, Connor Progar, Charles Houston, and Joey Gregory qualified for WPIALs
*Hazel McCowin qualified her 200 Free for WPIALs
*Both the Boys (Owen Levinger, Emmet McCowin, Connor Progar, Joey Gregory) and Girls (Lindsey Brown, Ava Yoder, Jordyn Glumac, Hazel McCowin) 200 free relays dropped time, both are close to qualifying for WPIALs.
*Boys 400 Free Relay posted their best time (Aiden Trunick, Nate McGee, Owen Levinger, Emmet McCowin)
The following swimmers all posted best times:
*Hazel McCowin (200 free), Savannah Meyers (200 free), Aiden Trunick (200 free), Owen Levinger (50 free), Lindsey Brown (100 Fly), Troy Palochak (100 Fly, 100 Back), Mia Blakesly (100 Free), Evelynn McCullough (100 Back), Joshua Ryan (100 Free).
