Highlights From The Meet:
-Freshman Hazel McCowin added another WPIAL cut to her belt and also qualified her 100 back last night. She also improved her 200 IM. She now has 3 individual cuts: the 200 IM, 500 Free, and 100 back.
-Freshman Lindsey Brown qualified her 200 Freestyle for WPIALs and just missed the cut for the 500 Freestyle.
-400 Freestyle Relay of Hazel McCowin, Ava Yoder, Jordyn Glumac, and Lindsey Brown qualified for WPIALs.
-Junior Connor Progar improved his 50 free for the 3rd meet in a row.
-Senior Aiden Trunick had his best 50 free to date, even better than last season.
The team continues to improve both in and out of the water. Team cohesion is the best it’s been!
Fun fact, our 2023-24 captains Jordyn Glumac and Emmet McCowin organized Friday “Fry Days”. The team goes to a new restaurant every Friday night and tries out their french fries and will rank them by the end of the season. Junior Connor Progar always wears a french fry cap on Fridays, last week we had 5 swimmers show up to practice with the same fry cap!
