The boys’ team were also winners, but it wasn’t as easy as the girls had it.

The Vikings shooting remained an issue in the 2nd quarter from both inside and outside the 3-point arc. On the other end, Riverside started to pick it up offensively and took a 21-20 led over Hopewell at the half. Scoring in the 2nd quarter for Hopewell were Kovell with 7 point and Gigliotti with 2.

–Following the halftime intermission, Hopewell started to pick things up and outscored Riverside by the score of 21-10 in the 3rd quarter as the Vikings entered the final quarter leading 41-31. A highlight in the 3rd quarter was Kovell and Gigliotti both having strong and 1 finishes. Gigs with the steal and left-handed finish at the rim. Kovell was fouled on the 3 ball from the corner and converted his foul shot to make it a 4-point play.
