Hopewell Area Aqua Club Hires New Assistant Coach

The Hopewell School district has added a new member to its coaching fraternity.

The Hopewell Area Aqua Club has added Reed Garrett as the new assistant coach. Garrett is a resident of Beaver County and currently attending college at Penn State Beaver.

Garrett reacted on Facebook to joining the Hopewell swim program.

“”Hello swimmers and parents! My name is Reed Garrett, and here’s a little bit about me. I’m a 2023 Beaver High School graduate and now a freshman in college studying Computer Science at Penn State Beaver. I only started swimming my junior year in high school, but quickly fell in love with the sport. By my senior year I was in multiple relays at WPIALs and even in a relay that qualified as a 3rd alternate for the state championship! Now that I have graduated, thought, it is much harder to keep with swimming. However, this opportunity changed that, and now I am here, excited to carry on my passion of swimming with you all!”
