“Playoff Game” Today for the Hopewell High School Baseball Team
A huge baseball game will take place in Hopewell this afternoon.
While it’s not officially a playoff game, it is in fact a playoff game for Morgan Singletary and his Hopewell Vikings baseball team.
Here are the stakes for today’s game against the Ambridge Bridgers at Hopewell High School: win and you’re in.
The top four teams in each section make the playoffs and Hopewell and Ambridge are currently tied for 4th place. So, it’s pretty simple, the winner of this afternoon’s game will qualify for the 2024 WPIAL Playoffs.
This scenario is very similar to last season when Hopewell qualified for the playoffs on the last week, and we know what happened after that.
