Hopewell 8U All Stars Battle Through Thrilling Doubleheader Saturday

The Hopewell 8U All Stars 2025 took the field for a Saturday doubleheader filled with offense, grit, and standout performances. In back-to-back slugfests, they battled to a 14-14 tie with Findlay and followed it up with a thrilling 17-15 win over Blackhawk.

Game 1: Hopewell 8U All Stars Tie Findlay 8U All-Stars, 14-14

Teagan J. set the tone early, blasting a solo home run in the first inning and finishing the game with a stellar 3-for-4 performance that included a double, a single, and 2 RBIs. Norah I. was equally dominant at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 and driving in 3 runs, while also scoring twice.

Hopewell kept pace with Findlay’s relentless offense thanks to a late rally in the sixth inning. Chloe S. doubled, Skylar P. drove in a run with a fielder’s choice, and Norah’s clutch RBI single tied the game in dramatic fashion.

Ellie Mae M., Adalynn R., and Brenna C. each added two hits, and Skylar P. scored twice while contributing two RBIs. Hopewell collected 22 hits total and turned a key double play to keep the game close.

Game 2: Willow K’s Five RBIs Lead Hopewell to 17-15 Win Over Blackhawk

The bats stayed hot for Hopewell in their second game of the day, racking up 28 hits in a high-octane 17-15 victory over Blackhawk. The offensive charge was led by Willow K., who delivered two momentum-shifting doubles and drove in five runs.

Teagan J. again was flawless at the plate, going 4-for-4 with 3 RBIs. Scarlett W., Adalynn R., Chloe S., Ann K., Brenna C., Skylar P., and Nora C. each recorded multiple hits as Hopewell’s lineup proved unstoppable.

Hopewell scored in every inning, including a massive 5-run fourth fueled by RBI hits from Willow, Nora, Adalynn, and Teagan. Another five-run explosion in the fifth sealed the lead.

On defense, Hopewell turned another timely double play, keeping the pressure on Blackhawk despite their own 25-hit effort.

Saturday Stars:

  • Teagan J.: 7-for-8 on the day with a home run, 5 RBIs, and 4 runs scored.
  • Willow K.: 4 RBIs vs. Blackhawk and solid contact in both games.
  • Norah I.: 5 total hits, including 4-for-4 vs. Findlay, with 3 RBIs.
  • Chloe S.: 6 hits in 6 at-bats on the day with multiple key RBIs.
  • Brenna C.: 5 total hits and 3 RBIs across both games.
  • Adalynn R.: 5 total hits and consistently productive in key moments.

Hopewell’s offense showed its full firepower, scoring 31 runs on 50 hits across two games. With strong leadership at the top of the order and contributions from every spot in the lineup, the Hopewell 8U All Stars proved they’re a force to be reckoned with.
