On March 30th, On March 30th, Juniors and Seniors at Hopewell High School will be starting the 2026 game of Assassins. Players partner up and create a unique team name. Every Sunday, targets will be given to each team to “assassinate” using water guns. Teams must eliminate their targets to continue on each week. If both players of a team are squirted by their assassins, the team is eliminated. The last team standing wins. Each team paid $30, making the prize money for this year over $1,200.

Assassins is a student run game, meaning it is not sponsored or affiliated with Hopewell Area School District. Assassins is played all over the United States. Many of these games played are known as β€œSenior Assassins.” There is an app called β€œSplashin” which helps students organize and play the Assassins game, and post videos of players getting their targets out.

Hello Hopewell! While I am not originally a Hopewell native, it has been my home for over 12 years. My wife and I have three beautiful children that all play Hopewell sports including baseball and softball. My wife and I are both active in coaching our Children's teams. I am a member of the Hopewell Youth Baseball Board of Directors and you will probably see me out at the fields at least a few days a week. Most recently coaching my youngest sons TBALL team.
