Thursday, 2/26 β JH VIKINGS SHOW OUT by Ariana Fischer
The 7th and 8th grade girls Junior High volleyball teams delivered an amazing performance in their away matches at South Fayette. The girls showed improvement with each game and executed what theyβve been learning from their coaches, Coach B and Coach Lexi. So far this season, they have grown tremendously together β as both a team and a family of Vikings.
The 7th graders played a very energetic match, with the 8th graders cheering them on the entire way. They supported one another and completed great passes, sets, serves, and hits. The first set ended 25β12, followed by a hard-fought second set at 25β27. They battled through the final set but just missed the win, 12β15, against South Fayette. The Lady Vikings showed resilience, competing together through both the tough moments and the highlights of the match.
The 8th graders had a powerful performance, winning the first set 25β18. They faced a tough second set, with South Fayette taking it 25β19. However, everything came together in the third set, with Hopewell coming out on top 15β7. Each week, the teams continue to grow, working better together and building skills in practice. They look forward to daily practice and the teamwork that makes them winners.
