The Game:
The pressure was on, but the Hopewell girls rose to the occasion. Each set showcased strong communication, strategic plays, and unwavering teamwork. The collaboration among teammates was immense, and their energy never wavered. Although close at some points, the girls triumphantly came out on top every time. The parents were going wild to with all of them getting loud for every play, in favor of Hopewell, of course. With every serve, spike, and dig, the team displayed both skill and unity. Backed by a roaring student section and the encouragement of their coaches, the Lady Vikings secured a confident 3-0 sweep – a win that truly reflected their hard work.
Two of tonight’s players had some remarks about the team and where this victory is going to put them.
Lahna Murray said, ” One of the most important things tonight was our energy. I feel like one of our biggest strengths is how positive we are on the court. I’ve even had multiple people come up to me and comment on how much fun we have when we play. We are excited to see who we can play next, and having that positive attitude going into that will definitely help us through that game.”
Avery Boyd said, ” I think the team did have some ups and downs but at the end of the day we all bond really well and can keep each others spirts up and I think having that kind of energy during a game really helps us, now that we made it to the semi-fianls we are going to play better teams which means we have to bring everthing we have and leave it all in the court if we want to make it farther.”
