HSN Talks with Hopewell Junior DB/WR Julian Baldwin
HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP– Not much could be gained from last season’s 1-9 record and losing your final 8 games by an average of 36 points per game.
However, if you’re a half glass full type of person, one thing gained from the 2023 season is experience on the field.
Hopewell had a very young roster, and a large majority of those players will be returning this season.
The current roster sits at 57 players, which is a noticeable increase due to new players coming out for football along with a number of incoming freshmen.
Head coach Matt Mottes and his coaching staff are working hard to change the image of Hopewell football and will be relying on returning upperclassman to serve as leaders both on and off the field.
One of those players will no doubt be junior defensive back/wide receiver Julian Baldwin. When it comes to work ethic and want to, Baldwin is a great example for young players to emulate. His preparation for the 2024 season no doubt started following the final game last year and hasn’t stopped.
Following Monday’s practice, Hopewell Sports Nation caught up with Baldwin for a 1-on-1 interview.
