Former Hopewell Star Anthony LaSala Leads Pitt Baseball To 13-3 Win Over Akron
After a quiet weekend down in Chapel Hill, the Pitt bats came alive this afternoon in the home opener as the Panthers defeated Akron, 13-3 in 8 innings.
Six Panthers recorded two hits or more, including former Hopewell standout Anthony LaSala and Tyler Bischke who collected three hits each.
LaSala went 3-4 with an RBI as he came off the bench to replace the injured Jake Kendro. Bischke went 3-3 with 3 RBI and two walks.

For the day, the Pitt offense banged out 16 hits and walked 9 times.
