Hopewell Family Looking For Help In Giving To Kids This Christmas
A member of the Hopewell High School baseball team is looking to do something really nice and needs some help from the community.
Jake Knobloch and his mother, Amanda, are looking to give back by providing gifts to kids that might not be as fortunate of receiving ones as most kids are. This is the 4th year that they have done this. Currently, they have 22 families and 55 kids that they’re providing Christmas gifts to. Each of those families gets a Christmas dinner basket with everything to make a Christmas dinner except the meat. They decided it would be best to do gift cards for each family to purchase their meat. As of this morning, they have 17 gift cards so they’re still short 5 $20 gift cards.
They are asking that if anyone is able to make a small monetary donation to help in making final gift card purchases and Christmas gift items it would not only be much needed but also greatly appreciated.
They are also still in need of laundry baskets to put the good in, right now they need 8 more of those.
Aside from that, the Knobloch’s are also looking for anyone that would like to come help wrap some gifts as they’ll be having their wrapping party this Saturday from 10 AM until finished. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers. Any time that you’re able to spare to come wrap would be beneficial.
“Thanks again for all of your support in helping Jake make Christmas special for everyone. No child should wake up on Christmas without any gifts,” said Amanda Knobloch.
If you’d like to make a monetary donation, you can Venmo it to, Jacob’s Angela Christmas: @amanda-knobloch-0.
Jake is a freshman on Coach Morgan Singletary’s Hopewell High School 2023-24 baseball team.
Very classy gesture Jake and Amanda!
