Isaiah Pisano’s Quest For A PIAA Wrestling Title Begins Tomorrow
Hopewell senior wrestler Isaiah Pisano will begin his quest of winning a second championship tomorrow.
Two weeks ago, Pisano won the WPIAL AA 160-Pound Championship after defeating Frazier’s Ryan Celaschi in the Championship Match.
Friday morning, Pisano will have his first match in the PIAA Wrestling Championship at the Giant Center in Hershey as he will attempt to win another gold medal.
Pisano’s first match will be at 9 AM against Braden Vincenzes from Loyalsock High School.
“I’m very excited for Isaiah this weekend,” said Hopewell wrestling coach Brett Smith. “We’ve been building for this all year. This is his third time to Hershey so he knows what to expect which is big for his confidence.”
“I know he expects big things for himself and I believe in him. We know there’s a bunch of good kids in his bracket but he’s included in that. He deserves to be here.”
If Pisano wins tomorrow, his quarterfinals match on Friday will begin at 8 AM. If he loses, he’ll wrestle a second match on Thursday.
