Senior ‘Tori’ Mann’s Record-Breaking Season Earns All-Section Honors

Victoria “Tori” Mann Leaves a Legacy in Hopewell Softball History
Victoria “Tori” Mann closed out her high school softball career in unforgettable fashion—cementing her place among the best to ever wear a Hopewell uniform. The senior catcher’s incredible season earned her a spot on the Post-Gazette’s WPIAL Section 2 All-Section Team, an honor voted on by coaches from across the district. For those who watched her play, the recognition came as no surprise.
Offensive Dominance From Start to Finish
From the very first pitch of the season, Mann was a force at the plate. She opened the year with a perfect 3-for-3 day against Rochester, setting the tone for what would become a year full of big hits and clutch moments. In an early win over Sto-Rox, she picked up two more hits and helped drive a dominant offensive outing. Her consistent ability to get on base—and drive runners in—made her the heart of Hopewell’s lineup.
Later in the season, she exploded with power. Against Mohawk Area, Mann crushed two home runs and drove in four runs, a performance that had fans and coaches alike shaking their heads in awe. In a road game at Quaker Valley, she went a jaw-dropping 5-for-5 with a double, leading a relentless offensive attack. Then on Senior Night, she put the exclamation point on her regular season with a 3-for-4 outing, including her seventh home run of the season—a two-run blast that helped seal the win.

Head Coach Ronda Koblek’s Final Thoughts
It is gratifying to witness players not only develop as young adults but also undergo significant growth as athletes. It is not a common occurrence to observe a player’s statistics improve to the extent that Victoria Mann’s did. Her accomplishments are truly remarkable. Not only has she blossomed into an exceptional softball player and the leader of the Hopewell softball team, but she also embodies the qualities of a kind and respectful young woman. She set a good example for this squad and all the future ball players.
Tori Reflects on Her Softball Career
“Something that I would like to reflect on from this past season are my friendships on the team. My teammates are so supportive of me and they are always cheering me on in my successes. They show me that softball isn’t just a game, it’s about growing together and learning. Im so blessed to have such wonderful teammates and I wish nothing but the best for them in their future, on and off the field. I couldn’t have had any success without the support of my teammates and coaches.
To my coaches, teammates, and especially my mom and dad, thank you for everything you have done for me, I can’t thank you all enough.
I plan to attend the Community College of Beaver County majoring in process technology. Unfortunately, they don’t have a softball team so I will not be able to play there. I will still continue to play travel ball until I age out.”- Tori
