Former Hopewell Standout Paige Alviani Inducted Into the Seton Hill Hall of Fame
Hopewell Sports Nation wants to recognize a former Hopewell great for receiving a huge honor.
Former Hopewell Viking star guard Paige Alviani was recently inducted into the Seton Hill Sports Class of 2014 Hall of Fame.
Alviani parlayed her success with Coach Jeff Homziak and the Vikings to becoming one of the greatest players to ever play for the Seton Hills basketball program.
Here is just some of what Alviani was able to accomplish at Seton Hill:
*Finished her career with 1,723 points, which is the most scored by a Seton Hill player since joining the NCAA as a full-time member.
*During her college career, Alviani shot 42% from the field, 38% from 3-point range, 85% from the free throw line, along with collecting over 400 rebounds and assists and 150 steals.
*A 3-time All-Selection player, including first team WVIAC selection in 2012.
After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary and Special Education, Paige served as a graduate assistant for the women’s basketball program while earning a Master’s in Middle/Elementary Level Education. Currently, Alviani is in her fifth year in the Greater Latrobe School District working as an elementary learning support teacher.
Back in the 2010-11 season, Alviani helped team with freshman star Shatori Walker-Kimbrough to the WPIAL Championship game, unfortunately the Vikings lost to New Castle in overtime.
