Hopewell Bowling Team Split Match Against Ambridge
The Hopewell Vikings had a mixed outing at Sheffield Lanes against the Ambridge Bridgers, with the boys securing a decisive 7-0 victory while the women, unfortunately short a player due to health issues, suffered a 7-0 loss.
A stellar team effort highlighted some remarkable individual performances. Senior Gannon Berg and junior Reese Jacobs achieved their personal best career series, showcasing the team’s collective strength. Junior Colin Roessler added a solid 175 game, while freshman Aidan Heppner’s impressive match-high score of 198 propelled the Viking men to a strong 2-0 start for the season.
Debuting for the Viking women, freshman Annabeth Sembower made an immediate impact, claiming the highest score among all female competitors with an impressive 191 and a high series of 440. Junior Jenna Willy contributed significantly with a 150 game and a series of 402.
In Junior Varsity action, despite a 2-5 loss, freshman Will Holland impressed with a high game of 143, while Zach Hughes claimed the high series for the Hopewell Vikings.
The team is set for their next challenge against Montour at Crafton-Ingram Lanes tomorrow.
