High School Football set to Ramp Up Activity in Hopewell

Published

on

With the start of summer, high school football is now “in season.”

The Hopewell High School football team has officially received their helmets and are now preparing for the W&J Passing Camp on June 12th. With the resignation of Coach John Rosa followed by his approval as a volunteer varsity assistant, the team has remained practicing throughout this spring, which is very important.

The Hopewell coaching staffs expectations for the W&J Camp are pretty high and they expect us to either win the camp championship or go pretty far in the playoffs.

By the way, the size of the Hopewell football thus far is impressive, as between 45-60 kids in grades 9-12 have been showing up consistently for spring workouts. Of course, we would like those numbers to be even higher, but 60 is very good.

The players on this team are creating high expectations for 2024 with the season starting off with a scrimmage against Freedom at Freedom on Saturday, August 17th.

I am a part of the Hopewell varsity football program and I have to say that “we as a team aren’t prepared yet, but it looks like we have guys that are willing to put in the work to make sure that we are well prepared for the start of the season.”

We at Hopewell Sports Nation wish the Hopewell Football program GOOD LUCK as we all work together this summer!
