Hopewell found themselves trailing 6-3 in the bottom of the second, but the Vikings put together a huge inning to take the lead.

Hopewell scored 5 runs in the bottom of the second to take an 8-6 lead. The big hit in the inning was a 2-run single by Ella Hartle.

The Vikings lead extended to 9-6 in the 3rd inning on an RBI double by Abby Babinsack.

However, in the final frame, Keystone scored 6 runs on four hits to take a 14-11 lead.

Offensively for Hopewell, Babinsack led the way going 2 for 4 and 3 runs batted in. Lillian Otto and Cadence Zito each collected 3 hits, while Evie Decampi and Bella Cipolla each had two hits.

The Hopewell Junior High Softball team is next in action on Friday as they travel to South Fayette.
