Hopewell/North Catholic Preview, Prediction

Although not officially, for all intent and purposes, the WPIAL playoffs start tonight for the Hopewell Vikings.

On the last game of the regular season, Hopewell will be on the road to take on North Catholic.

How big of a game is this? It’s as big as you can get for a regular season game. The winner of tonight’s game will qualify for the WPIAL playoffs.

Hopewell has had this opportunity the last two weeks against Central Valley and Freeport but have fallen short.

Hopewell was in both of these games and were knocking on the door but couldn’t break it down.

Three things that will be huge keys tonight: 1) tackle well and limit oppositions big plays. 2) control time of possession 2) convert touchdowns in Redzone instead of field goals.

A win tonight would be the icing on the cake of a 2024 season in which definite progress was made. Obviously, a win would be a tangible sign of that.

Not many are giving Hopewell a chance tonight but HSN is.

Will it be easy? Of course not but what worth accomplishing is?

This entire team and staff have been worked all season to be in this position to accomplish something that no one thought was possible.

Well guess what, it’s very much possible and I believe this magical season continues.
